Twenty Twenty Five, thank you!… 25 weddings shot… 26,902 photos delivered… nine new venues visited… endless belly laughs (but still no six pack)… countless tears shed, some happy, some sad… rainy summer weddings… sunny winter weddings… mad, off the wall party weddings… laid back traditional ones… some weddings that defied the ‘rules’… some that changed the genre from the ground up… and everything in between.
Just like that, another year in this crazy industry has vanished into thin air!
2025 was nothing short of superb. The weddings I witnessed this season threw everything at me. I feel like my work as a wedding photographer has been given the chance to develop into something truly fresh in some ways without losing my unique style and individuality. Stating that during a time of so much change in the wedding photography world, is very bold of me… but it feels true. Each wedding season we see the arrival of so many new trends, only to vanish before the next. So holding onto the core elements of this craft really matters. Not just to stay true to myself, but to make sure that the task given to me by so many great couples is done right!
One is always at risk of repetition when writing these blogs each year. Without going into deep detail about each wedding, my thoughts and feelings are often a reflection of the previous years. Despite the constant change I see through wedding photography, peoples core values and the reason marriage even exists - stay the same.
